Trained security personnel are in high demand in the security industry, so employers are on the lookout for qualified men and women to join their teams. Anyone looking to join the industry as a Security Officer, Crowd Controller, Personal Security Guard, or Property Security Guard is required to complete a COA Training programme such as this.
This programme is designed to train learners intending to get their Certificate of Approval (COA) and find employment within the security industry. It is suited to those who would find it hard to commit to a long-term programme and are looking to gain the specific skill set required to join the security industry within a shorter period of time.
This training scheme is delivered over 3 weeks and combines classroom, online and practical work.
The course can be run as a 3 day block course depending on the demand. These block courses can be nationwide or campus specific.
Successful graduates will be eligible to apply for their COA through the Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority (PSPLA) and can move into employment in a range of security roles. The cost of applying for your COA through PSPLA will be $187 (This is an additional cost that is paid by the student to PSPLA).
